3D Survey Rammenau

Architectural and landscape survey in 3D

On behalf of the Staatliche Schlösser, Burgen und Gärten Sachsen gGmbH, we create a high-resolution, combined 3D scanning with photogrammetry images 3D survey. This exterior documentation included the baroque architecture and the landscape park.
The aim of the documentation was to generate a measurable data set as inventory documentation, which can be viewed and edited with our software aspect3D. In addition we provided different 3D models in variouse levels of quality.

After the successful documentation on site had been completed, the image and laser scan data were initially processed independently of each other. In the first step, the photogrammetry images taken in the close-up and wide-range range had to be adjusted and corrected both manually and automatically in order to achieve uniform color matching, for example.

These adjusted images were computed in the second step in the photogrammetry software RealityCapture, together with the laser scan data, to form an entire and several individual 3D models, each with a different resolution. The compilation and calculation of the highest resolution data for the surveyable dataset was done in a separate step, which also included the project setup in our software aspect3D.
Due to the uniqueness of each project and the size of the data, these time-intensive processes require a great deal of experience and fine-tuning to create high-quality and extremely detailed data sets and 3D models.
