Archaeological Excavation

If the destruction of archaeological findings cannot be prevented (e.g. through the construction of basements, or garages), it is inevitable to carry out an archaeological excavation. During the excavation, finds are being documented both digitally and conventionally. Find recovery and sample collection are also included.

We combine traditional archaeological methods with modern documentation technology. Our employees are versed in:

  • exposing and preparing finds
  • detailed hand drawings, including colouring
  • digital surveying and data processing in CAD, including single picture evaluation
  • computer based findings management (database)
