At a time when armed conflicts are unfortunately more topical and present than they have been for a long time, the “dream of peace” has a very special meaning!
A special highlight in this respect is the Pillar for Peace, which was mainly designed by “little” Regensburg artists. They formed around 600 peace symbols from modeling clay, which were painted in bright colors after drying and fixed to the column. The base is decorated with inscriptions and colorful fingerprints of the participating “peace dreamers”.
The project idea came from Stephanie Zuber from the AktionKulturSozial support group. Together with other members of the non-profit organization, she personally took care of the conception, design and model construction of the 4m high pillar in painstaking work.
Regensburg thus shows how deeply rooted the desire for peace is in the population. The pillar also contributes to carrying the dream of peace “out into the world” as a mission for politics and civil society!
We at ArcTron wholeheartedly supported this project by using our core expertise to digitize the pillar in 3D in high resolution and created a landing page for all of our “PeaceDream”!
Visit our landing page! With “Augmented Reality” (AR) you can then use your smartphone to position the pillar in “3D and color” in front of your house or on your kitchen table. May the Pillar of Peace be seen in this way in many places around the world! Have fun with it!
