Internships in Geoinformatics / Photogrammetry
Are you looking for an internship (such as a semester internship) in 3D surveying/photogrammetry and are you interested in archaeology and monument preservation? We offer one internship per semester.
ArcTron 3D Surveying Technology & Software Development GmbH, headquartered in Altenthann near Regensburg, Germany, is a highly specialized company with many years of experience in the use of various 3D scanning services in topographic surveying, architecture, archaeology, the preservation of buildings and monuments as well as general 3D object documentation. The company was founded in 2001, is active worldwide and employs more than 20 people, including several survey engineers and technicians, as well as computer scientists and specialists in the field of 3D modelling and 3D animation.
What you can expect
- a variety of interesting survey pieces
- active participation in ongoing projects
- latest technology (Riegl LMS & Polymetric scanner, Leica GPS and tacheometer)
- insights into photogrammetry, optical metrology
- insight into the creation of textured 3D objects
- insights into the production of CAD results from 3D objects
- insights into various software suites
What we expect
- current studies e.g. geoinformatics*
- previous knowledge of surveying techniques
- knowledge of CAD applications (AutoDesk AutoCAD, Photoplan)
- previous knowledge in the evaluation of laser scan data (if applicable)
- willingness to travel
